Dr Hywel Francis MP says "Never Again" Who's he kidding !

"The following is taken from the website of Dr Hywel Francis. My own personal comments are highlited in bold at the end."

In the 80s and 90s, long term youth unemployment went up and up. During these tough times Aberavon MP Dr Hywel Francis is determined that we don't lose a generation of our young people to unemployment or lost opportunity because of the global recession.Dr Francis is calling on business, charities, community groups and councils to support young people during these tough times.
"I am determined that we never again repeat the failed policies of the past - which is why I supported our Labour Government in investing £5 billion to help people get back into work quickly. This is paying for more jobcentre plus staff here in Aberavon, more opportunities for people of every age and real help now, right when people need it.
"But I know young people in Aberavon leaving school or university will be concerned about the state of the jobs market and what they do next. So I'm calling on business, charities, community groups and councils to support young people during these tough times. I want organisations across Aberavon to give a jobless young person a chance.
"The Future Jobs Fund is a billion pound fund aimed at creating jobs for unemployed young people. I want organisations in Aberavon to get their bids in for the 100,000 jobs available.”
“I am determined that we will not lose a generation of our young people to unemployment or lost opportunity because of the global recession.”

End

" We are already well on our way to losing a generation of young people to unemployment. There are already over 722,000 16-24 year olds out of work according to the last unemployment figures. The Global Recession is the result of a "Suicidal Economic Policy" vigourously pursued by your Government.

The Global Economy means that British workers must compete against those in China and India who work for as little as a pound a day. Then add your open doors policy on mass immigration where " cheap foreign labour " is encouraged then the result is there for all to see " MASS UNEMPLOYMENT" and anti British discrimination amongst our own workforce and our own people."

The electorate are coming to the conclusion that a vote for the Labour, Liberal, Plaid and Con-merchant parties is a wasted vote and will only allow " the failed policies of the past" to continue.

We do not need more jobcentre plus staff we need more jobs. " Long term well paid jobs for our own people." Something that you and your government cannot deliver."

Your stunt to get people back to work quickly is nothing more than a short term fix. Another cynical ploy by a failed Government designed to con the electorate by attempting to fiddle the unemployment figures in the run up to a general election.

It will not work.

This Governments record on the expenses scandal and their failure to help " impoverished Welsh families who are losing their jobs and their homes" will never be forgotten.

Your Governments policies are well on the way to consigning not just the younger generation to the " Scrapheap" but the entire workforce of a once proud country."

British Jobs for British Workers. We mean it.
